Chamber Music: Up Close and Personal

May 15 @ 7:30 pm
$20 – $100

Get ready to experience the San Bernardino Symphony Orchestra like never before! On Friday, May 15, 2026 at 7:30 PM at the San Bernardino Valley College Auditorium, our principal wind musicians and pianist Mitsuko Morikawa take center stage for an intimate evening of chamber music.

Hearing these incredible musicians — Patricia Cloud (Flute), Marilyn Schram (Oboe), Margaret Worsley (Clarinet), Alex Rosales García (Bassoon), Kristin Morrison (Horn), and Mitsuko Morikawa (Piano) — is an experience you won’t forget. They will bring to life a vibrant and colorful program featuring the rhythmic energy of Paquito D’Rivera’s Aires Tropicales, the sparkling textures of Eric Ewazen’s Roaring Fork Quintet, Amanda Harberg’s lyrical Suite for Wind Quintet, and Federico Ibarra’s evocative Juegos Nocturnos.

The journey continues with Julio Medaglia’s Belle Epoque in Sud America, Arne Running’s playful Quodlibet, and the elegant sophistication of Francis Poulenc’s Sextet — a mix of tango, lyrical melodies, and virtuosic ensemble playing that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
