The award-winning AlmaNova Duo—flutist Jessica Pierce and guitarist Almer Imamovic—invite us on an adventure into Balkan music, with its youthful energy and resilience, haunting melodies and rich harmonies, jubilant rhythms and virtuosic melodic lines. The program includes original works for flute and guitar, such as Sarajevo Nights, along with new arrangements of traditional Bosnian Sevdalinka and Macedonian love songs.
