Branden Brown & Cole Sainburg

Known for their work as both educators and performers, Branden Brown and Cole Sainburg first met and played music together while teaching at their current positions at the Orange County School of the Arts Jazz Studies Program, one of California’s most renowned High School Jazz programs. The two musicians have a shared affinity for programming the music of lesser-known composers, sharing the musical traditions of different cultures, and performing avant-garde and free jazz. Sainburg and Brown will be presenting a varied program of exciting jazz masterworks by Thelonious Monk and Ornette Coleman, as well as progressive modern jazz and avant-garde original compositions by the pair.
