Launne Homzy has amazed Melodia Mariposa audiences several times as part of the gypsy jazz Trio Dinicu. Now her virtuoso violin playing is joined by the stunning accordion talent of Nikolay Sivchuk. He plays the bayan, a type of chromatic button accordion developed in Russia in the early 20th century, and Nikolay is one of the world’s best interpreters of the instrument.
A true dance of sounds will be formed by flying fingers across strings and buttons!
Come and enjoy music from around the world by Bach, Piazzolla, Kreisler, Tchaikovsky, Dinicu and more….
This concert was originally planned for the William D. Davies Building in Farnsworth Park and we warmly thank the Altadena Library for making their venue available to us. The concert was also originally due to start in the evening It will now start at 5pm.
Tickets are free but reservations are required as seating is limited
