About this Performance

Sister pianists Katia and Marielle Labèque return to Walt Disney Concert Hall to take part in the LA Phil’s festival, a series of concerts showcasing the ways we experience music with our entire beings.

Hear Philip Glass’ operas inspired by the films of Jean Cocteau, reimagined as suites for two keyboards as the Labèques perform from beneath a sleek, custom-designed chandelier conceived by Nina Chalot and Cyril Teste.

In collaboration with Maison Francis Kurkdjian Paris, the production will be enhanced with three unique fragrances to accompany each of the three suites. Each audience member will receive a leaflet presenting three perfume sticks composed by Francis Kurkdjian.
