November 3, 2024 @ 4:00 pm
$69 – $120Julius Rontgen (1855-1932) was a prolific German-Dutch composer, a brilliant pianist, and a conductor. He was inspired by the German Romanticism movement, and particularly by his friend and mentor Johannes Brahms. He was the first one to introduce Brahms’s repertoire to Holland. His Sonata for violin & piano in F Sharp minor, Op 20, was composed in 1879. This forgotten masterpiece will be performed for the first time in San Diego.
