Experience the arc of human emotion through three masterpieces. Beethoven’s classical poise, the raw emotional conflict of Shostakovich, and Dvořák’s warm, sprawling tribute to his American summer.

An extraordinary evening of chamber music featuring four distinguished musicians from the world of great orchestral and chamber music. Acclaimed violinist Martin Beaver, former first violinist of the Tokyo String Quartet, joins Los Angeles Philharmonic musicians Vivian Kukiel, violin; Soyoung Cho, viola; and Zachary Mowitz, cello. With musicians who bring both extraordinary individual voices and a deep instinct for ensemble playing, this program promises a fascinating meeting of personalities, sound, and musical ideas.
