Pacia Piano Duo is formed by pianists Hanbo Ma and Yuhan Yeh, two artists whose work spans performance, artistic direction, and cultural initiatives across California and the broader Pacific region. Both hold Doctor of Musical Arts degrees from the University of Southern California and currently serve as Artistic Directors of their respective nonprofit organizations—Cadence Collective Foundation in Los Angeles and Nova Music Production in San Francisco. Individually recognized for their achievements on the solo stage, they come together as a duo to develop a distinct artistic voice for piano four-hands and two pianos in the 21st century.

Cadence Collective Foundation opens a new season of its MUSIC CANVAS: Themed Concert Series with The Music Time Machine, featuring Pacia Piano Duo.

Through music inspired by Bach, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, and Piazzolla, the program moves between distinct eras, places, and musical worlds. Familiar melodies are transformed through the expressive possibilities of two pianists at one piano, revealing unexpected connections between the elegance of the Bach’s Cantata, the drama of Mozart’s opera, the imagination of the Romantic era, and the rhythmic vitality of tango.

The recital guides audiences through the stories, ideas, and cultural worlds behind the music. Together, music and narrative illuminate its enduring power to transcend time, preserve memory, and bring distant worlds vividly into the present.
