The Alhambra Performing Arts Center (APAC) takes great pleasure in announcing Sheng-Ching Hsu, an exceptionally gifted violinist, in a free concert on Saturday, October 24, 2026, under the direction of Chef/Artistic Director Bill Yee. Sheng-Ching Hsu boasts an illustrious career as a celebrated violinist, arranger, and educator, with Los Angeles as her base. Born in Tainan, Taiwan, Dr. Hsu began her musical training at the age of six, subsequently performing as both violinist and pianist at National Cheng-Kung University. Her esteemed musical education in the United States comprises degrees from Mannes College of Music, The Juilliard School, and a Doctor of Musical Arts degree from Stony Brook University, where she received tutelage from renowned musicians Itzhak Perlman, Catherine Cho, Aaron Rosand, Christina Kim, and Arnold Sussman. With her impressive versatility as an orchestral and chamber musician, Dr. Hsu has performed at distinguished venues including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Walt Disney Concert Hall, Théâtre de l’Île-Saint-Louis, Teatro Municipal de Santiago, and Taiwan’s National Recital Hall. Additionally, Chef Yee, President of the ProChef America Foundation, has organized a fabulous Ratatouille tasting, prepared by his ACF Chefs, for the audience’s enjoyment.
