Grammy®-nominated pianist Robert Thies is an artist of consummate musicianship, poetic temperament, and remarkable versatility. In 1995, he became the only American pianist to win the International Prokofiev Competition, taking its Gold Medal in St. Petersburg, Russia. A Steinway Artist, Thies has performed more than forty concerti with orchestras worldwide and is equally acclaimed as a recitalist, chamber musician, recording artist, and artistic director. His 2024 Grammy® nomination, for his work as soloist and producer on Mythologies II with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, reflects a career distinguished by both artistic depth and breadth.
